I Thought I Saw a Putty Tat!
I thought I saw a putty-tat! I did, I did saw a putty tat... door that is. Out in in our Winter Garden project, our homeowner has a couple cats. This brings the usual challenge - what to do with the litter box.
If you've ever attempted to place one of these, it can feel like solving a Rubik's cube. What looks like so many possibilities yet it can be hard to find the right one to get the solution for all sides.
With storage under the stairs, we have a place to put the litter box to contain the kicking of the litter. Next challenge was access for the aforementioned cats. Our homeownerr found this frame to cut into her door to give them their always access point.
Turned out well for the type of door it is mounted in. Could have went with a flush door slab to have the cat opening frame sit flush and then that door style would have stood out as different than all the rest of the doors within eye-shot. Always pluses and minuses to most options.
Homeowner loves it. We love the uniqueness of it and the fact we are able to make our homeowner happy. Cats should love it when they move in. Win for all which is always our primary focus.
