Woody Woodpecker is an animated cartoon character, an anthropomorphic red-headed woodpecker who appeared in theatrical short films produced by the Walter Lantz animation studio and distributed by Universal Studios. Though not the first of the screwball characters that became popular in the 1940s, Woody is perhaps the most indicative of the type.

يبدأ خندق ماريانا على عمق 6000 م. إنه المنطقة الأقل استكشافا والأروع للعلماء والمغامرين على حد سواء. تشالنجر ديب هو قاع خندق ماريانا وعمقه 10927م. قليل من الناس وصلوا هذا الحد، والقليل جداً معروف عنه حتى الآن. لكن العلماء لن يتوقفوا وهناك أمل في أن نكتشف قريبا أسرار أعماق المحيط. جاهز؟ هيا لنغوص!

- على عمق20م سترى أمام عينيك عالما جديدا تماما. الشعاب المرجانية الضحلة تقف بشكل جميل قرب الشاطئ
- 40م هو العمق الذي نودع فيه الغواصين الهواة- إنه الحد الأقصى المسموح به لهم
- على عمق 70 م نلتقي بأسماك قرش الحوت- أكبر الأسماك المعروفة ويصل وزنها إلى 60 طن
- ندخل الآن الجزء المظلم من المحيط: عند 150 م يصل إلينا 1٪ فقط من ضوء السطح ويمتص الماء الباقي
- عند التعمق أكثر، عند 500م سترى آخر الحيتان الزرقاء - لا، ليس آخرها فعلا بل هذا أعمق ما يمكنهم السباحة
- على عمق 830 م نصل النقطة التي لا يمكن أن نرى فيها قمة برج خليفة أطول مبنى في العالم على السطح إن وضعناه تحت الماء
- الحبار العملاق يسكن على عمق 900 م تخيل مخلوقا بعيون بحجم طبق طائر!
- منطقة منتصف الليل يحل فيها أخيرا علينا الظلام الحالك، الضغط هنا عال جدا وإذا انتهى بك الأمر هنا من دون غاطسة، ستسحق في بضع ثوان
- على عمق 1280 م في الأسفل، نرى أسماك القرش البيضاء الشرسة – تستمتع هذه الحيوانات المفترسة في هذا العمق
- ترى تلك الشباك الضخمة؟ لأننا على عمق 1500 م الذي يستخدم لطريقة الصيد "الشامل"
- على 1830 م إذا كنا في غراند كانيون، فسنجلس عند أدنى نقطة فيه وأعمقها
- لآن، إذا كنا حذرين فعند عمق 2000 م سنكون قادرين على رؤية أسماك التنين الأسود - مخلوق مرعب يسكن أعماق ظلمات المحيط
- على عمق 2250 م نقول وداعا للحوت العنبر- هذه أقصى نقطة يمكنهم الغوص لها
- على عمق 4500م تظهر وحوش أسوأ كوابيسك
- يمكن للسنونو الأسود أن يبتلع فريسة ضعف حجمه!
- والآن الجزء الأعمق والأظلم من المحيط: نغوص في خندق ماريانا. يبدأ رسميا على عمق 6000 م
- عندما ننزل أعمق، فلن ترى أي نوع آخر من الأسماك أو الفقاريات - الضغط فوق احتمال أي منها
