I've always loved H&J but this is not one of my favorite cartoons. I had another reason to scan it though. This was the result of an experiment with a new part on my scanner. The results were excellent with a much more stable picture. I color corrected it as well as possible.

The film was scanned with The Gugusse Roller. This is a DIY film scanner project that was built using a 3D Printer.

Heckle & Jeckle sneak into a prison to sell drills, hacksaws and other tools to the inmates. The hound dog guard catches them and puts them in a cell. They trick the guard into shooting out the bars on their cell, and they escape by jumping into a truck full of coal. The truck then dumps the coal right back into the same prison.

Heckle and Jeckle, the talking magpies, have trouble sleeping because they live under a bowling alley. When the bulldog who owns the alley refues to stop the noise, they give him a dose of his own medicine. They put glue in his bowling ball, harrass him at the pool table and place a bomb in his pants.
