من مظاهر حب اللغة العربية هو الحرص على استخدامها بالشكل الصحيح وإخراج الحروف من مخارجها السليمة فالذال ليست زاياً ولا الضاد ظاءً ،والابتعاد عن الكلمات والعبارات الموغلة في العامية التي لا يمكن فهمها خارج نطاق جغرافي محدود، ومن مظاهر احترام اللغة العربية عدم خلطها بلكنات أجنبية حتى وإن كان المرء يجيد اللغات الأجنبية، فلكل لغة خصوصيتها ومكانها.

يعاني التّلاميذ في مراحل التّعليم المختلفة من ضعف عام في لغتهم، فتكثر الأخطاء اللّغويّة في كتاباتهم، وتتجلّى هذه المشكلـة في عملية التّعبير اللّغويّ، ومـن مظاهرها القصور الواضح في مهارة الاستماع . هذا الضّعف ناتج عن عوامل متعدّدة تؤثّر في سير العمليّة التّربويّة.

تأثرت اللّغة العربيّة الفصيحة بسيطرة مـا يُطلق عليه (اللّغات العاميّة)، واستمدّت اللّهجـات العاميّة معظم ألفاظها وتعبيراتها من اللّغة العربيّة الفصيحة، ويسود استعمالها من عامة النّاس في حياتهم اليوميّة. وما يقوّي أثر العاميّة هو اتّساع استعمال العاميّة في البيت أو الشّارع أو من التّلفـاز، واقتصار الفصحى في المدرسة مع اتّجاه معظم المعلّمين إلى استعمال العاميّة؛ ويتطلّب من المدرسة جهداً كبيراً لتُساعـد التّلميـذ على الانتقال من اللّهجة العاميّة إلى اللّغة العربيّة الفصيحة . فالتّلميذ يأتي من بيئة تعتمد محكيّة منطوقة تختلف عن اللّغة المكتوبة الفصيحة، فالكلمة المنطوقـة لا يزال لها حضور وأثر على الرّغم ممّا تنتجه اللّغة المكتوبة من مفردات مسجلّة .

وتعتمد بعض الدول سياسات لتحسين مستوى اللغة .
إلزام المعلمين بأن تكون العملية التعليمية كاملة باللغة العربية الفصحى، وعدم استخدام اللغة العامية بتاتًا. التعلم من خلال القصص والروايات العربية، فالكتب التي تؤثر في المشاعر والعواطف تتمكن كلماتها في الذهن بطريقة أوثق. إبراز أهمية ومكانة اللغة العربية في المراحل الناشئة للطلبة وفي كل مرحلة من مراحل التعليم. الإكثار من اللوحات والنشاطات اللغوية في البيئة المدرسية. الاهتمام بتنمية ميول الطلبة نحو اللغة العربية من الجهات التعليمية.
